What we are
Think of Cleats Hub as Metacritic for sports gear. We collect every published expert review, owner rating, and objective specification we can find for a product, then run them through a documented, reproducible scoring pipeline to produce one number: the Cleats Hub Score.
The score is a weighted blend of three evidence layers, critics (45%), owners (35%), and manufacturer specs (20%). Every number on the site traces back to a real quote from a real published source. The evidence is right there, in expandable drawers on every product page, so you can judge it for yourself.
What we are not
We are not a testing lab. No one at Cleats Hub laced up the Nike Phantom 6 or the adidas Predator to write a first-hand verdict. Our credibility does not come from claiming otherwise. It comes from the breadth of what we aggregate and the transparency of how we do it.
We are not a shop. Affiliate links to retailers are included for convenience, and we may earn a commission if you buy through them, but that commission is the same regardless of a product's score, and it never influences the ranking. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
Who built this
Cleats Hub was founded by Curt Ebejer and Steve Farrugia, based in Malta, lifelong football players and fans. We built it because we were frustrated by boot review sites that either cherry-pick sources, hide uncertainty, or use hands-on testing as a prestige signal without the scale to cover the whole market. Aggregation done honestly is more useful to a buyer than one tester's opinion, and it covers every boot, not just the ones a brand sends to a reviewer.
What we cover
We cover cleats, soccer cleats and American-football cleats, the full current line-up across every brand and silo, plus previous generations. The same aggregation pipeline works for both. If there's something you'd like to see covered, let us know at hello@cleatshub.com.
