What are the Graf PK5900 Skates made of? Are they durable?

New, heat-moldable, 2-piece Pure composite quarter panels with an ultra-lightweight design are featured on the Graf PK5900 Skates. The two-piece quarter panel structure’s outstanding heel lock and fit are its main features.

The SPEEDFIT technology in these skates allows for a quick break-in, comfort, support, and pinpoint accuracy. SPEEDFIT increases protection, stiffness, and heel lock to their optimum levels without adding extra weight to the skate.

With the new PEAKSPEED Lightning line, GRAF has placed even more emphasis on adjusting the boot’s contour to the anatomical shape of the foot.

Graf may create a true heel pocket using a two-piece last, which makes it easier for the heel to rest in the skate and enhances heel lock. This ultimately leads to improved comfort and performance.

Are Graf PK5900 Skates Comfortable? And how do they fit?

The Graf PK5900 Skates’ asymmetrical tongue is designed to remain in place and keep players from moving about while they play. With this felt tongue, protection will be offered without sacrificing comfort.

The Graf PK5900 Skates offer unmatched mobility in small places thanks to a FlexFit collar. Another innovation is asymmetrical ankle pockets, which aid in a snug fit around the ankle.

A general contoured shape on the Graf PK5900 Skate will help reduce interior dead space and create a better, more exact fit. The inner of the shoe contains a brushed nylon quick-dry liner to help keep the foot dry and increase your foot’s degree of comfort.

These skates feature a comfortable boot thanks to Graf’s extensive use of high-quality materials. It’s fantastic to see Graf include the FlexFit collar and other features even though they are nothing new when compared to other high-end skates.

How does Graf PK5900 Skates Perform?

A standard footbed made of brushed microfiber and molded arch support is included with the Graf PK5900. For better comfort and fit, a pair of heat-moldable Orthotic footbeds are included in the box.

To maximize energy transmission, the skate’s base will have stronger blade control thanks to the composite midsole and outsole’s higher boot strength. They are combining the Graf 5500 Holder and replacement Cobra 3.0 stainless steel runners with a 10 ft. radius to facilitate tighter and quicker turns.

Thanks to the padded toe box, which is still a standard component, the Peakspeed PK7900 skates continue to have the most comfortable toe box offered in the hockey industry right now.

Is there a difference between the Senior, Intermediate, Junior and Youth versions of Graf PK5900 Skates?

When you first put your skates on, push your foot forward until your flat toes are just barely touching the toe cap. You can see behind the heel of your foot as it descends the skate by bending your knee forward.

The skates are too big if your finger can comfortably fit behind the heel. You should insert your fingers into the skate with your heel firmly in touch with the back of the skate.

Hockey skates should generally fit one and a half sizes smaller than your shoe size. A different fit could exist for every athlete, though. The bulk of the audience members anticipate a close contest. You should if, for example, your American men’s shoe size is 9.

SENIOR Hockey Skates
Adults and fully grown children with a Men’s US shoe size of 8 or larger can wear skates.

Intermediate Hockey Skates
Kids between the ages of 10 and 13 who wear US shoe sizes 5 to 7 can fit into intermediate hockey skates.

JUNIOR Hockey Skates
made for children who wear US shoe sizes 2 to 4.5 and are between the ages of 8 and 10.

YOUTH Hockey Skates
made to fit children with US juvenile shoe sizes of 1.5 or less who are 9 years old or under.

I’m the former footballer/athlete, who could have gone pro was it not for my knee injury! Never heard that before, have you? Jokes aside, my life nowadays really revolves around work, fitness, watching A LOT of sports and spending time with the ones I love (add blogging to that!)

The flex fit collar at the top of the skate allows a player to turn extremely quick and deep without having the boot bruise or tear the skin in this area of the ankle.

An asymmetrical tongue that is rigid wraps perfectly around the top of the foot. This helps keep the foot perfectly centered when skating and also protects the top of the foot from lace bite.
