Ribcor 100K was created to maximize energy transfer, improve performance, and enable maximum forward flexion while extending your range of motion. There was much anticipation for the Ribcor 100K. We were eager to put a few of the technological advancements to the test on the ice.

For serious hockey players, CCM designed the Ribcor 100k skate. A hefty price tag is also attached to it. The CCM Ribcor 100k skate is not an entry-level model.

What are the CCM Ribcor 100K Pro made of? Are they durable?

Players’ forward flexion can be increased with the new Flexmotion tongue. The tongues’ ribbed pattern both makes it possible to take a long skating stride and offers good lace biting protection.

Designed with the best steel available and carbon-coated technology for exceptional edge toughness and glide. You can dig in the ice with confidence and control because to the higher blade.

Still belonging to the CCM family but with a softer stiffness level is the Ribcor boot. This promotes quick movements and increases your range of motion, which will help you be as agile as possible on the ice.

The boot is made of RFM composite and is one piece. A premium material that is lightweight and actually has variable stiffness indices. It is a variable flex, which has never been observed before.

A moisture-wicking layer called TotalDri helps keep your feet dry and comfy by wicking away perspiration.

With this liner, the ADPT memory foam works well. These symmetrical foams fit and comfort varied foot shapes anatomically and wrap the player’s feet firmly but pleasantly.

This skate is more nimble than earlier models on purpose from CCM. This means that you can move and modify more quickly than ever with these skates. The new boot technology has made it simpler to stop, cut, turn, etc.

STEP Blacksteel (+4 mm) is steel and works with the new SpeedBlade XS holder. These are composed of the best steel available and have been carbon coated for enhanced edge toughness and incredible slide.

Players can dig farther during their turns thanks to this elevation gain, which raises peak speed.

SENIOR Hockey Skates
Senior hockey skates are sized to fit adults and full grown teenagers with a Men’s US shoe size of 8 or greater.

Intermediate Hockey Skates
Intermediate hockey skates are sized to fit kids in the range of approximately 10 to 13 years old with a US shoe size of 5 to 7.

Our Verdict/Overall Thoughts on CCM Ribcor 100K Pro Skates

The price tag ($999.99) is not what I consider “cheap.” However, as a hockey player, you are aware of the high cost of equipment in general.

Nevertheless, I have always adhered to the principle that you get what you pay for. You will receive top-tier equipment if you spend a lot of money on it.

I’ll be honest with you; aside from the price, there isn’t much to complain about with these skates. They have made significant progress since their previous skate regarding how they appear, feel, and perform.
